Hoover isn't hosting next year. Rumor is it's moving to AutoZone Park next year...

Will be good for the city.

My 2nd choice if Nashville doesn't get it. But honestly anywhere but Hoover will be better.

With it being during Memphis in May, would be a great trip for those fans. Good fit since Memphis will be replacing Ole Miss in the SEC soon.

No idea why this city continues to work against one of it's main assets. The U of Memphis.

Wonder if they would like to help UPS to set up an office in Memphis?

For starters, never mention me in the same sentence with ncrdl1. Head on down to Hoover next year Mark, I'm sure you will enjoy the $ec tourney down there as much as you would have here in Memphis. Go on down and enjoy the tourney with all your $ec buddies and have a good ole time. And excuse me for posting what I think is best for my University, so again, excuse me for thinking the $ec tourney played here is not what's best for my University, especially with its best effort being put forth to join the BIG XII. You also may now stand down.

Wonder if all the crime on Beale scared the SEC away. I know for a fact that the SEC tourney-Memphis discussions were VERY much happening.

Their decision was made before the recent crimes downtown. Overall there has been very little crime downtown Memphis statistically speaking. I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. Sure it had more to do with pulling it from somewhere it has been and needs to keep it...if crime was the issue nobody would want to play in New Orleans for their bowl games either.

Heck, if crime were an issue nobody would tailgate at any SEC stadium. SEC wanted to stay at Hoover all along and got them to seriously up their ante. Case closed.
