I don't think any P5s would get excluded if they go to 4 conferences.

Except the B12 is a much more traditionally solid football league than the ACC. Typically ranked above the ACC as well. If they could just get their act together from an admin and management standpoint.

That has nothing to do with anything. The ACC got the jump on them 10 years ago. Proactive always beats reactive. The ACC doesn't have the Frankenstein monster (Texas) holding them back either. Duke and UNC pitched a fit every time they expanded and got voted down.

Agree on Texas. Disagree on ACC getting a jump. Not sure how - in the world where football drives the bus - the ACC would be considered in a P4, while the B12 is out. Tv, tradition, strength, money? I just don't think so.

Only thing is the leadership.

It took them 100 years to get to 4. But I'm betting 8 is within a decade. Every year a conference gets left out, there's another argument. And just wait until Notre Dame finally gets it together and gets in - leaving out 2 conference champions.
