If lacrosse was as unpopular as you think, then why was the Towson-Loyola game played at Ohio Stadium?

No. That sport is pronounced "ˈbeɪs.bɑːl" and it's spelled this way: "baseball."

I've heard a lot of the blue-bloods in the Patriot questioning why they "dived" for Loyola. Well, there you go.

That's more like swinging and missing at a pinata without a blindfold. 03-lmfao That and needing a mit to catch a punt/kick.

Decent number of MN high school players going to DI lacrosse teams, as well.

Although my guess is that mostly whites play the game, I think there has been some history of MEAC schools having famously good lacrosse teams made up of black players, a few decades ago.

Don't know if blacks play the sport much nowadays.

Similar to basketball. It's actually a fantastic sport. Every player like hockey and basketball have to be able to catch, throw, run. Also it is physical. I played basketball and coach my two sons in lacrosse. Easy transition. My son also went to state championship in football. Football and lacrosse are easily the two toughest sports physically. Football wins by a mile tho!

The most famous lacrosse player ever wasn't even known for his lacrosse skills, Jim Brown. Besides fb, he also played lacrosse (and basketball and track and field) at Syracuse back in the late 50's. He was so dominant in lacrosse that they actually came up with new rules.

I'm sure Lacrosse is a great sport and fun for those who play. I'm just messing around.

Its a fun sport to watch too. As Pablowow alluded to, it has the ruggedness of fb and the finesse and agility of basketball. With the nonstop running up and down the field, you have to be well conditioned too.

Yuck. Another sport's Final Four all comprised of p5 teams.

Penn State (Penn), Maryland (Massachusetts), Syracuse (Stony Brook) all got to the Final Four by beating non-Power 5 teams.

Maryland's probably unbeatable, UMass did get a tough draw. But Penn and Stony Brook really can't complain. Unseeded team and the #4 seed. They had their shot.
