Haha.
Of course.
Preseason is the only time these boys get to dream about a Sun Belt championship.
Let them have their fun.
I would say it's kinda sad but wouldn't really mean it.
Should award imaginary rings for their imaginary Champions.
Not referring to the AppSt and Idaho fans whose teams do not do not have to play the best team in the SBC, and it is not as close as many here seem to think, and the talent gap got wider today
That wider talent gap that came today won't be on the field this year.
Or ever more likely...

I'm sure the same will be true for several newbies to every teams roster, but the team with the most talented roster wins more often than those with less.

Yeah. We were better than everyone before we added the pig dropout today.

Probably as goods as any G5, and better than most P5's.

The gap between the SBC and other conferences must be huge.

That I'm not a fan does not change the fact they have the most talented roster of players in the SBC. The only reason that it has not been more evident is they have experienced an almost unprecedented number of coaching changes. Should become more clear going forward.

How do you have time to post here?
Shouldn't you be buying hairspray and helping Mel Kiper Jr get his hair ready for the NFL Draft?

We'll put some guys in uniforms, throw them out on the field and pray. At least our new turf will look nice now.

I don't post here very much at all, and for the most part just read.
I do enjoy reading about the imaginary teams fans, and the media create in off season.

Last year's game would have been much different with Knighten. Still would have been hard to get a win, but it would have been a competitive game.
State will be stronger this year. Will Toledo?

Not at all............just noticed when crunching recruiting numbers a few years ago that A-State turned the recruiting corner, relative to their SBC competition, and made note of the fact here, and a couple of other places. Been told I was wrong ever sense, all evidence to the contrary.
Only thing different is the gap is growing, something that would be more evident if they recruited in a normal manner.
Not to worry will be very evident in the fall.

I wonder if the unprecedented coaching turnover in Jonesboro a few years back has made it seem as if the talent gap between stAte and the rest of the conference isn't as big as it actually is

Absolutely no doubt whatsoever, but that is in the past at least for the short term.
Their focus is now is to exploit their talent advantage over SBC teams, some stability in coaching, and move their program to the top of G5 ( not a question of if, but when) , and should make a huge step forward in that effort this year.
This may very well be (actually should be) the best SBC team ever ( is the most talented) if everything clicks, and to their credit, they are doing their best to make sure it does.
