A very good piece on Sydney Ball from UAB to now. Local kid does good article - I had forgot he was from hillcrest. I did not even know that he had worked in athletic academics at UAB for a long time. Is now an on the floor coach at Samford.

He is a good guy that represents UAB very well. I vividly remember his clutch 3 pointer versus South Florida.

I ran into Sidney in the grocery store just the other day. He is still a great guy and a true Blazer. He represents UAB very well.

Next HC maybe?

Two things I remember most about Ball

1. His winning shot against South Florida. He miss that shot and we don't beat Kentucky in the 2004 NCAA tournament.

2. He was so keyed up against Kansas in the NCAA tournament that he forgot to put his jersey on under his warm up at the beginning of the game.
