Eagles are pissed. The bats missed the fight to Miami and were left in Hattiesburg. Eagles will win the whole thing though! I'm predicting a lot of lower seeds beating higher seeds on Wed.

When Tech wins will that propel them to a #2 seed?

Seriously, what teams have chances to host? I'm guessing if USM or FAU win then they will have top 20 RPIs.

What are the chances of us getting 5 teams? Does Marshall have to win the tournament to get in?

I still think Tech must win a game at the CUSA tournament to get in.

I will favor USM at home but it will probably come down to pitching depth. Tech has Clancy coming back but he will still be around a 50 pitch limit. I like our depth but may lack the starting pitching depending on if Diehl shows up BIG.

USM has to run the tournament to host. No one else will. FAU didn't submit a bid.

Hate to ask but where do y'all think Rice sits now?
I think we still might have a tiny chance to host if we convincingly run the table (and other conferences settle out just right).
I also feel like we may still need at least one win to get in at all.
Realistically those both can't be possibilities going into the Conf tourney (1,2,3,out). The truth is we're probably safely in as a low 2 right now, with an upside as a high 2 and downside as a solid 3.

I think my Herd will need to make the semis for even a chance at at large, but prob needs to win the whole thing. 1 win each over FAU and So Miss is not enough.

Rice is fine. Probably a 2 seed in a regional.

ODU will be there, but the Monarchs need to wake up the pitching staff if they are going to make a move. It's possible we make a little noise and win a couple of games or so, but much more likely we make an early departure.

Not too bad to have 7 of the 8 participating in the CUSA Tournament in the top 100.

Brett Favre is scheduled to throw out the first pitch for the USM-ODU game on Wednesday.....wonder if he has any baseball eligibilty left

I was under the impression that RPI is only applicable to the regular season.

I predict the 8 seed will win it again, just like last year....

RPI continues into the tournament. Winning the tournament by going 4-0 or 5-1 would definitely have a positive effect on RPI.

Hate that this is moving to Biloxi for the next 2 years. I expect the crowds to be low there. They should just rotate between Reckling and PTP.

I'll be at all the USM games along with all of the Saturday and Sunday games regardless of who is playing. Also trying to make plans to catch the Rice vs La Tech opening game. If it was a 12:30 start I would be there but 9:00 is going to be tough to make.

Wednesday action:

9:00 AM - Rice vs La Tech
12:30 PM - FAU vs Charlotte
4:00 PM - USM vs ODU
7:30 PM - Marshall vs FIU

Weather conditions are highs of around 89 each day with lows around 66 but most importantly 10% rain or less all week.
