Appreciate the attempt at optimism but we just pissed away a regional host against a mediocre team that was resting its pitching staff.

Good for everyone else in the conference but that doesn't make it an easier pill to swallow.

Yep, Berryball shows up strong to end the regular season. Don't want to take anything from FIU, but we did our patented end of the year choke job. Sad.

No harm no foul. Tech has seen many championships slip away. But top to bottom, this is the best baseball conference we have been in, including the WAC when Fresno won it all. And we are glad to finally contribute since 87. You guys may not host, but you'll still be in the tourney. And from a school that hasn't had that much success, that is something we can strive for.

Hey Rice & USM... forget this weekend. Show up at the tourney and represent C-USA well in the postseason.

How do you think we felt at the CUSA football championship last year, or the USM game this year? Conference basketball tourney the past 4 years? Its relatable.

Anyone with even a passing knowledge of USM baseball knew that Berry and Co. would choke when it counted. I'm sure he'll get another extension because it's easier then actually looking a new coach.

Even within the context of past USM crashes, this one may take the cake. Sports history is filled with spoilers, and losing "the" big game to an underdog can happen to anybody and has happened to most. However, a Top 15, 1st-place team all set to host a regional losing 3 straight to a team that barely made the cut for its conference tournament is some pretty rarefied air.
