What a year for Herd baseball
Picked last, and now 1st in Cusa, eyeing an at large bid to the ncaa tourney.

Pretty awesome to see the Herd winning 11 straight.

Go Herd!

Marshall wins tomorrow they take the CUSA Title out right, The worse they can do is have a 3 way tie for 1st with USM and FAU.

Not entirely correct. An FAU win in their resumed game (they currently lead 4-1) plus a Marshall loss would mean an FAU championship. Additionally, if Rice can win the marathon game tonight and also win tomorrow, a Marshall loss would put Rice in position to finish above Marshall (even with FAU)

In essence, Marshall has to win tomorrow for the title. (As Marshall basically loses all tiebreaker scenarios, a Herd loss tomorrow coupled with FAU, Southern Miss, and Rice (twice) winning would result in the Herd sliding all the way down to the 4 seed).

Hats off to the Herd.

Hoping a trip to the Deep South will cool your heels next week.

Was Marshall really picked to finish last? That's crazy, given where we stand here at the end of the season.

At the beginning of the season Marshall was picked 12 out of 12, not only that they were picked to only win 11 games this year.

I think, in baseball terms, you jinxed your squad.

RE: What a year for Herd baseball
No jinx here. The Herd brought it this year, and I love the fact that the 2 teams picked to finish last are not only going to the conference tourney, but both might get into the NCAA. Just a DAMN great year for CUSA baseball.
