Twice, Texas blocked expansion. The first time in the dying days of the Southwest Conference and now in the Big 12.

UT is just to big of a bully... I say independence is where the Bong horns land.

This sounds accurate to me. Why would anyone want to give up money before a contract expires? Doesn't make sense.

Article in Austin Statesman Sports today: No expansion now and UT will never give up the Longhorn Network. Most likely UT to B1G (for the academics) and OU to SEC if they leave. Rest of Big 12 have nothing to offer to another existing P5 conference, so they probably let UT and OU do what they want to keep them in Big 12.
