unless you guys would bring a ton of fans to their stadium, it isn't worth it for them to schedule you guys either. at least for wake, you guys would bring at least a few thousand to their stadium.

Most times App had as many people in the stands as WF. There was a 5-6 year stretch we outdrew the Deacons badly. It got to the point our cheerleaders had signs saying Welcome to Groves Stadium... Home of the Mountaineers.

The App/Wake game was always a blast. I hope the upcoming series turns into a regular one.

One thing for sure, you will get completely screwed over by the officials. I have seen stAte play P5s, particularly SEC (Ole Miss) teams tough through the years for 3 quarters only to see the other team pull away in the end. Usually aided by piss pour, unfair refs. With instant replay, it's a little harder these days, but P5 teams really put the screws to the visiting teams in these money games.

Ok App fans, jump on Rik Flair for blaming refs (even if it's true).

We have not.

But we have played West Virginia Tech. Got stuck having to play a DII game against them during the 2001 season as a fill in game because of 9/11. Our local paper tried to make it read like we were either playing West Virginia or Virginia Tech.

They REALLY do.

I remember being in a restaurant watching ULM giving Auburn hell. After what my memory tells me was a third down play for Auburn, a ref walks up to the already spotted football. Stands with his feet shoulder width apart, facing a side line (feet are north and south) one foot "marking" the placement of the ball. Picks up the ball, wipes it off, then places the football back to his foot marked spot on the field.

IT WAS THE OTHER FOOT !! The one further up the field. The SEC refs THEN do a measurement and call it (barley) a "first down" for Auburn. I laughed when ULM PICKED THE BALL OFF a play or two later. Cheating sons of 5#6@$

Any of you ULM fans have that game recorded?

Don't the SECN games come on ESPN3? I ask because I work 12 to 9 but I have three computer monitors to work with, as such, weekday games get the attention of one of my screens.

Time Warner was not providing it for me on ESPN3. Though in the High Point area you may have North State for internet. I also did not have any extra channels, and had I subscribed to SEC as part of a sports pack I would have that on ESPN3 I bet.
