Portland school board bans climate change-denying materials
Only the example given doesn't DENY anything. Full speed ahead with indoctrination!

Quote:“A lot of the text materials are kind of thick with the language of doubt, and obviously the science says otherwise,” Bigelow says, accusing the publishing industry to bowing to pressure from fossil fuels companies. “We don’t want kids in Portland learning material courtesy of the fossil fuel industry.”

In board testimony, Bigelow said PPS’ science textbooks are littered with words like might, may and could when talking about climate change.

“ ‘Carbon dioxide emissions from motor vehicles, power plants and other sources, may contribute to global warming,’ ” he quotes Physical Science published by Pearson as saying. “This is a section that could be written by the Exxon public relations group and it’s being taught in Portland schools.”

Hey now. That's a 'doubt' word. Please refrain from using that.

If those libs would just commit mass suicide and erase their carbon footprint that sure would help.

The residents of Portland have voted 4 times, most recently in 2013, to NOT allow for the fluoridation of water. Now there is a scientifically sound decision.

Organized political opposition has come from libertarians,[18] the John Birch Society,[19]

"Portland, where a largely Democratic electorate often finds liberal candidates struggling to differentiate themselves, the fluoride debate created stark, and heated, divisions."

No Birchers in Portland

Portlands a cesspool, or more correctly a public porta pottie.

last time I was out there it was "cool" to be a homeless teen/kid. Dirty, dressed in rags, panhandling, smoking those little indian head cigarettes and using any local alley or flower bed as a toilet.

Awful place...

I love how you classify teaching material that is actually supported by fact instead of false political driven BS as "indoctrination."

Why are schools in the business of BANNING anything literature wise, silly or not !? Censorship is the antithesis to education.

I always knew the publishing industry was nothing more than a propaganda arm of Exxon-Mobil since I read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish in a Pristine Environment Not Polluted by the Fossil Fuel Industry and Where the Wild Things Are Not Contributing to Manmade Global Warming, Which is a Hoax as a child.

How about banning school administrators with insane conspiracy theories?
