Clergeot signed with the Red Raiders in the fall. This is what Tubby Smith had to say back in November (via TexasTech.com)

Keon is a very skilled offensive player and plays with a great deal of passion on the defensive end. He’s a team player that can play the point guard and shooting guard positions. More importantly, Keon is an exceptional person. He really hit it off with our players during his recruiting visit. Keon is a great fit for our program, and we’re very excited he chose to become a Red Raider.”
Clergeot, a 6’1”, 160-pound point guard from Auburndale, Florida (Auburndale Senior High School) is rated as a 3-star recruit according to 247Sports. The site ranked him as the No. 299 overall prospect in the 2016 class and the 53rd-best point guard in the country. 247Sports also regarded Clergeot as the 18th-best basketball player in the state of Florida.
He initially chose Texas Tech over interest from Bowling Green, Chattanooga, Cleveland State, Duquesne, Hofstra, Jacksonville, Louisiana Tech, North Florida, South Alabama, Stephen F. Austin, Towson and VCU.
