I wouldn't know...unlike SOME I only root for one school...miserables don't get that concept.

what do you do when that team isn't winning?

exact same as when the team is winning...support them.

not me. I always keep a list in my pocket that I can pull out and select a new team if we're stinking it up. last few games of football season I was an Alabama fan

Simply this. To get into the Big 12 he could not be our coach.

that's not a problem...moreover, that in no way makes Cal and Tommy West wrong about the obvious miserable segment of our fan base

If you think the Memphis fanbase is somehow inherently different than any other college fanbase, you are simply mistaken.

We should strive to emulate KY fans. They support the Wildcats
through thick and thin. Even during "bad" years, the conference tourney host city is awash in blue. The contrast with purported Tiger fans is quite pronounced.

I would never want to be a KY fan for any reason....Has nothing to with a greasy haired former coach.

To all of you making stupid statements against one of our supporters and our fans...

I agree, if it is who I think it is, he has given more life time to our program than most others combined on this board. Who gives a crap who his friends are?

you make sense every now and then

some of our biggest boosters give money to other programs as well

So the boycotts of the rendezvous and Houston's are over ?

Rendezvous is dog food anyways.

Question? Which would you prefer? Having Calipari back or getting into the Big 12?

neither will happen, so what's the point of your question?

that is ridiculous. Yeah, a hall of fame basketball coach is going to keep us out of the b12.

First you say basketball does not matter and now who the head basketball coach is could be a deal breaker. I realize you know all the sources and you are really well connected but if someone is telling you that they are either lying to you or they are just stupid.

To be recognized as an ambassador I believe you have to give 500k over a four year or less period.

That is correct - I was mistaken. I believe we have 37 Ambassadors now. Far more than RC thought possible when he borrowed the idea from USC.

100% correct, the B12 would never invite someone "new" to the conference that has questionable HCs. Pastner did help the B12 selection process. Cal without question, would have hurt the process.

Implementing the Ambassadors program was RC's best idea and one that continues to benefit Tiger athletics.

There were only 34 Ambassadors when Penny joined their ranks in 2009. It is great seeing the number grow.

We are very blessed that the Ambassadors are willing to part with their hard earned money. I am grateful for their generosity.

Agreed. The best thing the rest of us can do to show our appreciation is to do OUR part as much as we can: attend games, join the alumni association, give something (no amount too small) to both athletics and academics every year and advertise by putting UofM emblems on your vehicle(s). If we all pull together and do what we can, win or lose, there is, as TC says, "no limit".

Purported fans here want something changed but offer nothing but carping and complaining. They are great at spending other people's money, however.
