There's a class that you can take at Ga. St. Where you go on-line to sites like this and repeatedly vote for trivial things that make Ga St look good or desirable.
Somewhere in downtown Atlanta, in a seedy building on the Panther campus, in a leaky basement room, are a group of tired freshmen, repeatedly voting for the Panther Logo over Troy's. . . .
There can be no other explanation . . .
I think it's just that whenever there's doubt, the animal mascot wins.

Two things. ONE: Does GAST even have a "campus"... really?
Two: That has to be the ugliest logo in the conference, well I don't know - That Jags one is .. not pretty either. Sorry guys, not a fan of cats. Well, I like the TX State logo.
Final explanation: Lot's of Ghost Buster fans, probably due to the remake coming out.

That class is a required course at Georgia Southern. Have you seen the Eagles Twitter fans?
They run every fan vote the Sun Belt puts up.

Sounds like the A&M fans when there's a "best in Texas" poll. They couldn't win the country music singer though. We got that one at least.
Oh, and we won the logo thing over UT, so that's 2.

In fairness that's not our official logo anymore

GS has 102 votes so far. Ark State has 668. Looks like an elective in Jonesboro as well.
Or else it's just chiefsfan voting 600 times.

1. No, we actually conduct most of our classes and research in a series of urine-soaked steam tunnels beneath the city. Travel from one class to another is only possible via MARTA or homeless-drawn rickshaw.
2. Yes, Ghostbusters fans. That's it exactly.

Kind of a "Person of Interest" setup? Now that would be cool.

Plus a few rented office spaces and abandoned wearhouse s? Sounds about right to me.
But it must be working, y'all kicked our behind so.. I wouldn't change a thing if I were you.

Oh, did we beat y'all in football or something? I don't really even keep up with that. (We're more of a women's tennis school.)
More "seriously" on the subject of campuses, someone at Georgia Southern had a pretty good idea as far as contrasting your more traditional campus with ours. There was a GS billboard downtown (might even still be there, but I don't recall seeing it lately), really near the Georgia State campus, that had a picture of someone on a bike in the morning at GS, with the traditional collegiate green grass and regal buildings around. I think the only words on the ad were the GS name/logo and something like #WokeUpThatWay. I always figured it was a way of directly contrasting the feel of our schools' campuses, and it was probably somewhat effective, since while I love the way we're set up as part of downtown Atlanta, I'm sure it's not for everyone.
