Do you have a date of action on whats going to be built.

To my understanding UAB has to get official OK from BOT which is expected at the June meeting...

If we get approval in June from the Board of Trustees, then we can begin. It may take a few weeks to get everything rolling, but the hope is that we're breaking ground in July. Several times, Coach Clark has said he realistically hopes for a July ground-breaking.

So July.

So you are asking if there is a date set?

Well Yes Sir, I know how things are with approval and this and that, but if you can tell the fans we are doing this and it will be done by or between these dates it builds confidence and then do it! ( a date it., to me puts more excitement with all the great things being done) When you move dirt it peeks interest on what is being built. Other wise promises are skeptical. I know we need final approval from the BOT and they have their agenda but we are part of their system and the better hood of the overall positivitely effects all especially the fans for the Blazers which are everywhere to date. So yes, I was just asking if we had any certain proposed dates of action so we can continue to build. 03-shhhh

RE: Covered practice facility
I would hope that plans and arrangements have been made to start immediately after formal board approval at June 16-17 BOT meetings. I think they are allowed to set things in motion as much as possible w/o signing anything...

It's either going down the shoot smoothly as expected or there will be a c-section.

Does an affirmative June vote to start moving dirt immediately signal a new relationship with todays BOT? Perhaps an end to almost 5 decades of intrasystem obstructionism?

That declaration might be a bit premature. It's definitely a step in the right direction, but all of our progress could just as easily be undone with one decision. I honestly think we'll need to get several years past a PBJ influenced/controlled board before we can say that.

The level and pace of the financial support has been nothing short of mind blowing. When the final numbers are announced next month (which I'm sure will be part of the proposal) the thing to keep in mind is we did that in less than 12 months

Thank You, Always better to work with the BOT then argue with them, they are family to date and hope they will until they turn us loose hopefully we can continue to work with them, I'd rather have their prominence of experience than not. Seems we know what they like which is well support which usualy comes in green, and well we do have green on our side. A mentor told me a while ago honey attracts bees my friend. I kindly answered yes but just don't let them sting you back, I told him! We need them they don't need us. Right or do they.
