You're doing it wrong. You need to include some sort of catch phrase when you post news on this board.

Extra points if you can mysteriously allude that you have more information about this than anyone else but won't divulge it.

Hate to see him go, however, if there was a position we could afford to lose somebody at, it was the RB position...

I hate it but where would he have been on the depth chart? With Dorceus, Craft, and both of the Hendersons coming back he might have seen writing on the wall.

I would have liked to have seen him at fullback or tight end in sort of an Allen Cross type of role, if that type of role exists in Norvell's offense.

If I recall correctly, he didn't get a single carry in the spring game....and I don't think he was injured.

"Running back coach Darrell Dickey talked about moving him to tight end in some situations during spring practice."

I have no idea. The young man put up some solid numbers as a platoon RB over his two years here...

166 carries
767 yards
4.62 YPC
9 TD

Yep

IMO his injury was a big reason we blew the lead against Houston.

I guess Norvell doesn't plan for big RB's. So who is going to be the hammer now??

It was a numbers game. He was far down on the depth chart.

Hate to see him go as he is a fine young man and a good football player. We just have a great deal of talent and depth at the running back position right now.

I wish Jarvis the best and know we will hear good things about him.

He was our 2nd leading rusher each of the past two seasons as a Freshman and Sophomore. Just saying.

It's never good when you lose one of your better players. No way to spin this - this sucks.
