The Answer to the question seems to be a cost of travel vs. playing in the east vs west. Really if you look at the teams being played vs UAB playing in the east. Flight and Bus Travel. If we play in the west we have two sure Bus Trips. Southern Miss and LA. Tech. Rice is a Bus Ride, Dallas is a Flight no matter what cause you want to Fly into Dallas not to Take a bus. Just Cause. S.A and E.P is a flight every other year, if they schedule properly so one year if the shedules are done with cost in taken into account one year we fly far out west Texas. right know follow the script in the east how many flight games does UAB have. the Fl Schools are flights. M.T is a bud ride, OD is neutral Charlotte then has to be a bus ride. Thats for the team and the support staff normaly takes a bus when and whenever for the cost of the team. Looks better to be in the west really if they schedule right. That being in the C-USA being biased thinking ofcourse. Thats if the Schedule Lines Up.

It's not near as big a deal than is being made about it. I would hope we could keep MTSU as a permanent eastern opponent and rotate the other.
