RE: Week 10 (final weekend) CUSA baseball action
Here's the tiebreakers each team own using only how it affects a team's seeding.....so since La Tech and teams below them can't catch USM I left those tiebreakers out which is what I did for remaining teams. With UTSA and MT out of contention I left them out on the scenarios. **DNP means Did Not Play**

1 - USM (20-7) -- Rice, Marshall
2 - Rice (19-7) -- DNP Marshall, tie with FAU, plays LT next
3 - Marshall (19-8) -- DNP Rice, La Tech
4 - FAU (18-8) -- USM, tie with Rice, DNP La Tech
5 - La Tech (16-11) -- DNP FAU, ODU,
6 - ODU (14-13) -- FIU, Charlotte
7 - FIU (12-15) -- UAB, WKU
8 - Charlotte (11-15) -- FIU, DNP WKU, plays UAB next
9 - WKU (10-17) -- DNP Charlotte, UAB,
10 - UAB (10-17) -- plays Charlotte next, owns no tiebreakers

RE: Week 10 (final weekend) CUSA baseball action
1 last post to overload information on the final weekend on CUSA action. Below are the possible seeds each team could end up with.

2 - Rice (19-7) -- 1, 2, 3 , 4
3 - Marshall (19-8) -- 1, 2, 3, 4
4 - FAU (18-8) -- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
5 - La Tech (16-11) -- 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
6 - ODU (14-13) -- 5, 6, 7, 8
7 - FIU (12-15) -- 6, 7, 8, miss tournament
8 - Charlotte (11-15) -- 6, 7, 8, miss tournament
9 - WKU (10-17) -- 7, 8, miss tournament
10 - UAB (10-17) -- 7, 8, miss tournament

As with previous posts on this thread, feel free to correct me as I am doing this without double checking

UAB and WKU have 17 losses each. Also, couldn't Charlotte still get to 6th by sweeping UAB and ODU getting swept? Charlotte would be 14-15 while ODU would be 14-16. Also assumes FIU finishes 14-16 or worse.

Corrected now. Forgot Charlotte got rained out today and was just looking at win totals when I posted.

RE: Week 10 (final weekend) CUSA baseball action
Here's the weather (rain percentage) for the weekend series each day as it appears some shuffling could be taking place with games. But as we all know weather can change in an instant:

USM at FIU - 50%, 20%, 80%
Rice at La Tech - 60%, 60%, 10%
ODU at Marshall - 0%, 20%, 50% (charleston, WV)
WKU at FAU - 60%, 20%, 80%
UAB at Charlotte - 50%, 70%, 80%
UTSA at MT - 0%, 100%, 20%

Enjoyed doing it. It's always more fun when we (USM/CUSA) are winning too. Hopefully for USM and CUSA I will still be doing it a month from now.

Back to only playing 1 game today, starting at 6. Weather is pretty crappy here for the next few days. I hope we can get all 3 games in.

Here are a few write-ups about the C-USA weekend.

I know that feeling (basketball).

Pray for us this weekend. We'll need a miracle to make the tournament.

Unless Marshall loses the last 2 AND La Tech sweeps Rice the CUSA Coach of the Year should be from Marshall....just my opinion though.

Considering we were picked dead last and haven't made the league tourney since 2010. Wags should get COTY hands down. All due respect to Tech, its just we've overcome some huge adversity and low expectations to have a great year. Broke the school record for wins today as well.

RE: Week 10 (final weekend) CUSA baseball action
Goff has done an amazing job and would be the runaway winner any other year. Not this year.

I don't think LA Tech fans can fully appreciate how absolutely atrocious Marshall has been in baseball. They are in a college baseball black hole and play at a stadium an hour from campus. How would you guys feel if you had to go play your games at the Fairgrounds in Shreveport? (assuming that stadium still exists)

The reason LA Tech was so bad in baseball was that it was run poorly.

The reason Marshall was so bad in baseball was that there is absolutely no reason that it should be good.

Wags is Coach of the Year....and forever in the hearts of USM fans for his glorious rant at Pete Taylor Park years ago.
