Wow, I felt really bad for him when they announced his transfer. I really thought he would transfer closer to home. He was the first kid from South Dakota to sign with Ohio State. I was intrigued by him.
I liked his potential and when you watch him up close he can maintain tempo.
UC is getting a serious player. If he had Ohio HSFB competition, especially the GCL or GMC, he would have been a superstar.

I wonder if he had freshman difficulty adjusting to the rigors of college plus football being Ten thousand light years from home.

I don't pine after every OSU recruit but they obviously recruit solid talents... this is good news.

The last time a columbus state offensive lineman tranferred to UC, it worked out very well (Sam Longo).

Frankly, the dude could transfer from Mount Union for all I care. If he can bring talent or bring depth to the OL then it is a win-win!

Nah. If that was the case he would have transferred to a school closer to his home South Dakota.

He's looking at an easier route to playing every Saturday at UC. The depth chart at tackle is extremely thin here due to the prior OL coach's inability to recruit the position. OSU is stocked full of talent at the position.

Yes, he will have to sit out a year and then get to play three. Ironically he'll get to play the Buckeyes during his senior year in 2019.

Doesn't OSU have to file paperwork for that to happen? I thought we had a similar situation with Ben Mauk and Wake didn't do anything about it. I could be wrong thought (it has happened once before).

He was an early enrollee in January 2015. His freshman season was last year (2015-2016), so he's only been in school for one year. So, with having to sit this year, he'll still have three seasons.
