Interesting, beIN is mostly a soccer network as far as I know.

Upfronts: beIN Sports adds American football...
Cable sports network beIN Sports has traditionally focused on soccer programming, but this year it’s adding a number of other sports, including American football.
At its upfront presentation on Monday the network revealed a new deal with Conference USA to air college football and basketball beginning in the fall, a departure from the network’s traditional focus on soccer and other international sports.
Conference USA doesn’t have any national powers in football or basketball–schools in the conference include Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, Southern Mississippi and Old Dominion–but American football is the top TV sport in the U.S., and the move could help the network boost its viewership on Saturdays this fall.

RE: Chuck Landon talks about C-USA tv deal rumors
I'm thinking the BeIN will be the digital component for CUSA. May not be part of broadcasting as that could be for ASN. BeIn is fairly strong in the digital area also.

Im guessing its both. The article specifically discusses increasing viewership and says the network will "air" CUSA football this fall. I would expect this move to result in a nice bump in subscriber numbers as CUA fans sign up for tiers that include the network. Another side benefit---This should also open more Saturday broadcast windows for CUSA games.

This.
I'm thinking that it also gives them Saturday PM programming (US time) from Sep-Feb, as their European soccer coverage is primarily AM based given time zone issues (particularly out here in PDT).

beIn?
Anybody know anything about our recently divulged 4th media partner? I'd never heard of them before, but apparently they are carried by DirecTV and have good streaming capabilities. Wonder how much $$$ it's worth...

Get yourself a FireTV Stick, Add Kodi, add the Sportsdevil addon, and you are set. beIn is all over the place.

You mean some of you don't regularly watch Serie A and La Liga on Saturday mornings?

Or do all that and get Sling TV, or Vue. There's a ton of streaming options with them.
Now, what C-USA and beIN have to do is actually market these games well.

I'm watching Italian league soccer on that channel, Dish 392, in English and HD. Looks good but I wonder how much money is involved. I would guess there is at least some or all games not on espn, cbssports, etc. would be on ASN for free.

This might be the increased visibility our Commissioner has stated. After ESPN and cbssn move their games to Thursday, Friday, and 11 am on Saturday, maybe the other games get played (and broadcast on beIN and ASN) on Saturdays. Imagine playing football again on Saturday night with a 7 pm kick-off!

BeIN Sports 4th TV Partner for C-USA
In case you didn't see the 3 previous threads, BeIN Sports will be the 4th TV Partner for C-USA, starting this fall. Apparently they have a strong streaming service and have a lot of access on cable and streaming networks.

Does anyone know if the streaming is subscription based or ppv?

They are available on Cox, Comcast, Directv, Dish, TW Cable, AT&T Uverse, Verizon, etc and on Internet feed. Whichever games are on this outlet will have the same specific channel number each week, unlike ASN, although I never had problems finding games on ASN either.
