For those counting at home, beginning with last Tuesday's debacle with UH, the Rice staff has allowed 33 walks and 4 HBP (through the 4th inning in this game). Hard to win with all those freebies.

The worst of the rain/thunder probably is staying west of the campus for now. If it stays that way, it's possible the delay would only be a short one. But there is a chance it builds up due south and gets worse over time? Honestly it's not too bad here at my house - much less rain today than the last two days. Still hearing occasional thunder off in the distance however.

Weather.com shows the rain lasting past the travel curfew, so we may be done here.

Yup. We'll be 1/2 game behind USM heading to the final series, and just 1/2 game ahead of two teams (FAU and Marshall). Pretty much have to sweep next week to have any chance.

I think we will be a full game ahead of FAU if today's game ends in a tie. FAU hosts WKU next week, so it should be able to cruise.
