Seems like no one here has talked about Marshall (maybe because we don't play them in the regular season?), but they have been on fire lately. They've won 8 straight conference games and 11 of 12. And at 18-8 in conference play, they could be tied with Rice by the end of the day.

Marshall also has a relatively easy final weekend (Old Dominion at home). At the very least, it's pretty apparent this 3-team race that we've been talking about for awhile is really a 4-team race. Their RPI might be a bit too low to get an at-large bid but this may be a year where CUSA gets 4 NCAA bids.

Positive thoughts, please. We're going to come back in Game 1 and lead wire to wire in the second game today. 03-cloud9

No one is discounting Marshall or LaTech, but the ONLY way CUSA gets four NCAA bids is if there's an upset in the conference tournament, and someone other than Rice, USM or FAU wins the tournament. Teams with RPIs above 50 are not going to get at large bids.

If LA Tech beats USM today, their RPI will be well into the 40's.

And if we win two today and three next week, who cares what the others do?

Lot of good points made. LT and Marshall have a shot. But as OO points out, we control our own destiny. If we win out, it does not matter what others do. However, if we do not win out .....

By the way, I have not heard anything recent on Jackson. Is he out for the season?

At the last home series, I was told he's throwing again and planning a return this season.

That is wonderful news. Hope it is soon.
