Whatever is says UC is, take us down another 10 slots due to CTT as our head coach.

I understand your questioning the rankings because they do look like the end of last year's rankings. They are different than last year's end of season rankings.....not much different, but a bit.
Here they are:

Bc, I have seen some signs of renewed vigor. I agree that grandpa has slept and pissed away three years, however, I think that he may awaken. Again, he has the players to be successful and he has the advantage of not being the favorite. There is no doubt in my mind that he has gotten the message from the fans. Hopefully, he will play like Adam Dunn in a contract year, since in effect he is basically in a contract year.

Yeah, I guess there is a chance the mummy will awaken. Arise Tommy Imhotep! Oh great Tubhotep! Pinehotep! Win the elusive Pyramid Bowl and rest eternal in the afterlife with Ra.

From an opposing fan's view.......
In a unique manner, he's never looked fully engaged on the sideline.....just waltzes the sideline with a weird smirk on his face. It's an odd in-game demeanor and I understand why the fanbase wouldn't be quick to come to his defense.
He did the same thing at Ole Miss, it's not just on the Bearcat sideline. Perhaps he does a good job of getting the troops to play at their best, but it's a bit difficult to see how that could happen based on his actions.

RE: 2016 Massey Ratings
The "compare" ratings are from January. Massey's own ratings are updated for preseason at http://www.masseyratings.com/rate.php?lg=cf&sub=FBS
as the OP listed. E.g. Navy was #25 in Massey's final rating (see his column in the comparison) and are #33 in this one, behind Houston at #30

He has been unable to get the troops to play their best when it counts. Against FBS teams that finished above .500 for the season he is 6-11. He is also 0 for 3 in bowl games with the Cats. All kidding aside, he could be The Walking Dead on the sidelines for all I care if he could get his teams to perform consistently and avoid the head scratching blowouts. He really has one foot in retirement and one foot on the coach's office sofa IMO. It remains hard for me to have any confidence in his passion and competency to coach. Stranger things have happened and maybe this coming season....[crickets chriping]
