I've listened to ODU vs Marshall BB while driving through WV.
Yes. All football and basketball (men's and womens) games and the coaches show for each are on 94.1 FM. On Saturday mornings, there is a Monarch radio show. I forget the name of the show. All baseball games are on 1310 AM.
In western and central Virginia, you can listen on 104.5 FM and 1050 AM. In Richmond, you can listen at 100.5 FM.

also, if you have a smart phone there is an app for ESPN radio 94.1 that I've used many times in the car and listened to games. you can stream it via the website too on a computer.

True- but I actually prefer the tune-in radio app. You can listen to the 94.1 broadcast from anywhere without all the extra bloat that the ESPN app has. Basically it's the same thing though - gets the job done!

I use this. I forget who on here turned me on to it but thank you. It's been great. Listened to a lot of BB this past year on it. You can even pause it.

Yes, you can turn the screen off and lock your phone and it will still work. The 94.1 app will stop working when you do that.

using the 94.1 app you can definitely turn off the screen and lock the phone and it still works...regardless, both are easy and free ways to listen to every football and basketball game all season long, home and away. pretty sweet if you ask me.

I do like the podcast feature of 94.1 for Wood, Jeff, and Bobby's segments.

One new addition to this deal is they will air a minimum of 20 baseball and all post-season games.
Yay. More lack of coverage by the "local" sports talk host. Max media shouldnt have agreed to the deal unless Ted wasn't part of the package.

I was wondering if the Saturday show that Doug Ripley has hosted the last few years (Inside Monarch Nation), will be a part of the new contract.

They've done 20 baseball games the last two seasons. They are on 1310.

Also unclear is the status of the basketball coaches shows.

Ripleys show should be broadcast on prime time some week day rather than Saturday morning. It is very informative and well done. Wish they could get Ripley more air time. I'd switch him with Mashaw and put Mashaw out on the sidelines

Like the idea of replacing Mashaw with Doug Ripley.
But instead of putting Mashaw on the sidelines, why don't we just put him out to the pasture. He adds nothing to the broadcast.

The difference being there will be an additional 10 games aired and these games will be on 94.1 (unless there is a conflict and they'll be on 1310).
