I'd say the NCAA has been very kind to UAB. We should have nothing to gripe about.

If the NCAA is OK with the team going (see the Compliance officer to make sure), I think it is a good idea. If not, a representative contingent of players would be nice. Will Notre Dame be sending anyone?

EDIT: Since UAB is not playing a schedule this fall, perhaps we might get the NCAA to allow the team to go to Miami as they would if we had to play a C-USA game at FIU or FAU. We could agree to take only the number we would take if going to play a game.

i was speaking in general...i would be surprised if they granted such a thing for any team

When you do things up front instead of back door you sometimes are treated nicer.

That's the thing people miss with the ncaa a lot of times. Decisions seem weird and unfair, but we don't normally have the whole story. I would have a hard time believing the ncaa would deny this request from any school.
