All of this is such a cluster. Boise screwed up. Nothing else is happening for a long time. Make yourself as good as you can and hope for the best.

RE: Top 4 Big12 Candidates
Am I the only one happy to be a member of the AAC? I couldn't give two f*cks about the Big 12. Texas, OU, and then a bunch of trash. We are currently among what I see as our peer institutions, and am proud of it.

I actually feel a bit that way myself. Seriously. But if you have a chance to go to the Big 12, you have no choice. That's what the great financial divide is doing to college football these days.

As an ECU fan I can say without a doubt I love the AAC and was hoping it would stick together as long as possible. I know it is a business and every school with any aspirations has to go for a spot at the P5 table if they get it. My hope is that the Big 12 goes to just 12 and picks up Cincinnati and BYU. AAC can easily survive that and move on. My second hope is that if it were to be two AAC schools that maybe UC and either Memphis or UCF. The Big 12 going to 14 and potentially poaching UC, Memphis, UCONN and fill in the 4th school is the nightmare scenario for me and any ECU fan following this. I really hope Texas and Oklahoma use their power to prevent the necessary votes on expansion and hold out until all of the grant of tv rights contracts start expiring in 2022-2024. I honestly think Texas and Oklahoma would be smarter to keep the Big12 at 10 and their new Championship game and simply wait until that time frame to explore their options of moving to the SEC, ACC, Big1G or Pac 12.

RE: Top 4 Big12 Candidates
I like the AAC membership wise. Bottom line is. you are still one of the little boys. It is normal to want to be at the adult table. Add to that the huge $$$ difference, you have to, as individual schools want to move.

Even if AAC got a new 8 mil deal in 3 years, and got a Liberty level bowl for its best outside of bcs, you can like being in a solid tweener deal, but still would have to look up the chain.

For top AAC schools to be fairly satisfied, They would have to get a TV deal in the mid Teens, Have an auto bid to an Access bowl, Champs/Sun/Gator type bowl available for #2. You at that point are the least of the P6 but are part of the club. Even then you still would move. It is just the pressure valve would be turned down a notch. This is highly unlikely.

In the end I expect the B10 will lose 4 to 8 schools, (Not all at once) It will reload as losses happen, and still will be in the P5, as the least of these. with the left over BE schools plus another 3 to 5 from current AAC.

This conference, even when it was Big East football, has ALWAYS been the move-up conference. That's just the way it is. Unless you're BYU, or maybe Boise, you have to be in the AAC to get the call-up. Like AAA baseball, lol.

I feel like at this point we have not only killed the horse that is the topic of expansion. But now we are beating it's dead corpse, while raping it.

Boise is a community college that offers nothing but fb. They won't be in the B12 unless something catastrophic happens.

If we could somehow become the Big6 and get money close to the Power conferences I'd be just fine staying in this league. It's a darn good league with a lot of up and coming programs. Happy to be in the AAC. Just give us more access to the playoff and the biggest bowls. We will make it happen.

Utah and TCU came out of the MWC into the PAC and B12
