If athletics gets $250 million out of the supposed $500 million then what else could cost that much?

Citation needed.

I'm guessing well more than 50% of that goes to non-athletic costs.

C'mon man , there is plenty of stuff that still needs to be done other than OCS. We could start with the seating for the oly track.that should be a real stadium for soccer and track. The baseball stadium needs to have seating capacity expanded .The IPF could be fully funded. Soft ball stadium improved and on and on.

If/when we get into the Big 12, an OCS will eventually happen, but I seriously doubt that it would happen for at least 10 years. Of course, several consecutive years of selling out the Liberty Bowl would hasten the date. The sleeping giant of Tiger football may finally be about to rise to his feet.

The university uses the 500 million to buy every house between the campus and the Liberty Bowl. BAM! "On campus stadium".

I have always thought the need for an on campus stadium silly (2.5 miles), but since we're just dreaming. I vote for light rail to a consolidated sports complex at the liberty bowl stadium. Rail could be like the trolley or even like Portland's light rail. Sports complex consolidation like Kansas City chiefs and Royals, share parking and other amenities. There isn't room on campus for that.....

And I like to dream big.

Looks like the $500 million dollar figure is already committed funds.

So this would include the new BB practice facility, the new Music building, the land bridge, new dorm, etc.

The school is responsible for paying the cost of the chair back improvements to the Liberty Bowl. Don't know how long it would take to pay that off.

OCS is not in the cards or on the table. Time to move on. Unless you consider the U of Mem being gifted the Liberty Bowl an OCS.

The B12 is not expanding...
The B12 would never consider Memphis...
There will not be 80 teams within four years in a P4...
Memphis could never pull off $ 1 Billion in capital investments in 10 years...
There will not be a OCS...

geez...

Since I only said one of those things, I will stand by my reply. I have sources too...
