OREGON STATE-New Plan to get Young Alums to attend Games
At the risk of someone bringing up Seth Collins....

Interesting new program directed at "Young Alums":

Quote:Now available to OSU alumni that have graduated within the last 10 years, SQUAD allows members to go to any live sporting event hosted by Oregon State – including Beaver football – for one monthly price.

RE: OREGON STATE-New Plan to get Young Alums to attend Games
I am all for any kind of young alum big discount season ticket for alums who have graduated a minimum of 4 years ago.

Also IMO all young alums should have access to buy single game tickets at the student guest price for the same period.

I have said this many times before but if it were not for the 2010 season happening exactly when it did I would not be HuskieJohn. After I graduated in May 05 I was MIA as a Huskie fan between Homecoming 05* up until Toledo in 10. This was all because the games were cost restrictive for me to attend in 05/06 and after that I moved on to other things.

*I did attend the MAC West clinching game in 05 vs WMU but that was only because the Alum Association was handing out free tickets.

This is something that will help, I am sure. I know a lot of people who scoff at paying the season ticket price (it may be cheap, but student loans are a real thing). Interesting to see where this heads to!

Also -- this kind of stuff helps but the fix starts on campus. It's not going to be a 1 or 2 year fix. You have to re energize the student body on campus before you convince a bunch of people didn't care during school to come back.

How did tailgating work for the students last year? Did they have to buy a season pass or was game day parking available for them in the remaining open student area?
