Large School Western NY State player of the year. Looks like offers from Richmond, Siena, and interest from St Bonnies as well. In the articles it mentions a few things- 1) two way player 2) described as playing above the rim and 3) leader on and off the floor and the knack for making the big play at the big moment.

Listed at 6'7" with an athletic build. Seems like a nice young man and a good addition.

Coach Rowe looks to be turning over the roster quickly- he and the staff have gotten right to work and aren't resting on the laurels of the "20 win" season last year and I don't think they are close to being done yet this off season.

Really only UNCW has made some noise in conference this recruiting season- Hofstra, NE, W&M etc. all very quiet. I think the Keatts/Rowe battles will be what the Conference is about the next few years.

At one time there was concern about Tom and/or YoYo having eligibility issues for next season due to grades. Now that the spring semester has been completed I fear one of the shoes may have dropped. Unless Lou is running off Ivan I fear we lost one of the two upperclassmen due academics.

It is my understanding no scholarship offer was made to Trueheart by JMU.

Limited footage out on the net, but seems to be a reasonably limited player at this stage competing against fairly weak competition. Great length, athleticism and it would appear, upside.

Based on GW and Richmond offers, I would say this is a good get, but may take a few years to be a contributor. Thats ok with a bazillion seniors this year.

huh? Why would a guy with other options commit to a school who didn't offer a scholarship?

Looks like that commitment was taken down from the VC site.

Maybe when he said continuing his academic career and athletic career at JMU he was referring to UREC/Intramurals?

Count me in as a guy that likes Trueheart....I was very impressed by that video from the VC site when I quickly watched it last night.

Here's an excerpt from the write-up from ESPN on this guy and they've got him rated as a two star, no. 102 at his position nationally. They've got him listed as a JMU recruit now.

Sunderland tweeted Trueheart would have to walk on to JMU. If we cannot offer him a a scholarship I am sure a low level Div I school will come along and offer him one. I cannot see him walking on at JMU if he has other suitors.

Is it possible the kid thought he was getting a schollie when he really was being asked to walk on? Doesn't seem likely. In any case, I like the VCU transfer so all turned out well as far as I'm concerned.

The buzz around JMU and the MBB program is so great that D1 prospects are willing to walk on. He could become JMU's version of Chris Fleming!
