Yep dhart, the Atlantic Sun Conference. When ODU joined CUSA all of the sports which they didn't have had to find a new conference. Wrestling ended up in the MAC, Rowing is in the Big 12, etc.

ODU (42 RPI) plays against Towson (5 RPI) in the first round, then takes on the winner of Penn (9 RPI) and Wagner (71 RPI).

They play Friday but not sure what time yet.

WIN where you are and good things will happen. You can only beat the competition that is in front of you. They did that. Congrats! If we don't like our competition in other sports - we should be beating them and winning Championships. If we do that - good things will happen.

It was a matter of which conference was going to take them. Most conferences won't taken affiliate members. CAA wasn't going to keep them after the rest of our sports bolted. A-10, ACC, Big East, & B10 weren't biting (Big East picked up FH because of their historic program). The remainder of D1 Women's LAX would be the A-Sun, Big South, Ivy, MAAC, NEC and Patriot.

I don't disagree. Field hockey has multiple national titles and a legacy like few others in the sport. Thus, the Big East was interested. Lacrosse, until this season, had never been to the NCAAs, and their recent history is littered with 2- and 3-win seasons. That gets you an economy-class ticket straight to Palookaville.

That said, if the AAC starts lacrosse (apparently ECU is starting the program and the public schools may be breaking off from the Big East), then ODU might land there if they keep this run of play up.

Look at what we can accomplish when there's no MTSU in the bracket.

These are conference championships since changing conference affiliation with the CAA, correct?

I thought we would have done better than this. Basketball came very close this year. Men's Tennis came close this year. I look for our Tennis program to really break out next season both men and women.

Men's basketball, Women's basketball, and women's golf all came one spot short of a championship. All those championships were claimed by MTSU.
