Audio is up, but there's no GameTracker link yet on riceowls.com.

Here's a link to FIU's, with the confusing non-contrasting colors: http://www.sidearmstats.com/fiu/baseball/

T1: A one-out walk (Myers) and single (Proctor)

But Gray hits into an inning-ending 4-6-3 DP. Grrr.

Jon's first pickoff of this year ends B1.

T2: Tekyl singles and is bunted to 2nd by Lewis. DeCaprio drives him in. 1-0, Rice! Yay!!

Kopycinski hits into our 2nd inning-ending DP of the game (5-4-3; 39th of the year, according to JP). Ugh!!

T4: Two, two-out singles -- Kop & Warren (a bunt but no Panthers covered 1st base!) -- but Chandler's first-pitch 4-3 groundout stranded them.

Owls have 7 hits ... and 5 left on base. We lead, 2-0.

Interesting tidbit, for what it is worth. In 4 innings, Crouse has faced 19 batters and thrown 56 pitches. Jon has faced 12 batters, but thrown 51 pitches.

T5: Myers' leadoff single up the middle "dances into the green" of center field.

What your score, Carrie Ann Inaba?

Through five innings, we have had 11 base runners, but we only have two runs. Gotta do better at bringing the runs home.

Nothing unusual as we almost never work the count. We rarely face mire than 2 - 3 pitches unless the pitcher is wild.

Jon gives up a couple of 1 out hits then gets a 5-4-3 DP! Still 2-0 Owls going to T7.

04-rock!!

High fives all around for bunting successfully and then scoring the runner. However that decision reduced our expected number of runs in the inning and perhaps is why we got 1 instead of maybe a crooked number. I know most here including Walt will strongly disagree.

Edit after win: Of course if you *know* that you will shut out your opponent the odds shift a little more towards bunting. Still may be the wrong move...
