Ultimate (geographic and never will happen) reshuffle with AAC/SB/CUSA with UConn and Cincy to the Big 12. All three with 12 teams.

(West) CUSA: NMSU, UTEP, Tulane, ULL, La Tech, Houston, Rice, UTSA, Tex St., SMU, N. Tex, Tulsa

(SE) Sun Belt: FAU, FIU, USF, UCF, Ga St, Ga So, UAB, S. Miss, ULM, Coastal Car., USA, Troy

(NE) AAC: Ark. St, Memphis, MTSU, WKU, ECU, App St, Charlotte, ODU, Marshall, Navy, Temple, UMass

ULM in the SE-SB sorta resolves the Tech-ULM issue, but then I don't know if Tulane has issues with other Louisana schools. You can for geographic purposes put them in the SB and ULM in the CUSA.

In a C-USA SBC reshuffle, the East comes out nice, but not so much the west.
The east teams have space. One team in each of Tenn, Ky, S Car, N Car; 2 in Ala, Ga, Fla. It would cover 7 states (just off the top of my head).

but the west would have 1 in Miss and Ark, 3 in La, and the rest in Texas. 3 states and no breathing room.

I think the lack of space is why it hasn't happened.

Maybe they would reshuffle, the only problem is those who look better in the SBC won't be invited due to CUSA being full and who gets kicked out of CUSA wouldn't want the demotion back down to where they came from.
CUSA already has 5 teams in the bottom 20 of the yearly Orlando Sentinel countdown, their TV money is getting slashed big time now that it is based on actual membership and many of them cannot put butts in the seats. The only people who think movement between any of the SBC, CUSA and MAC is a demotion or promotion are delusional and trying to boost their self-esteem.

If any teams in those conferences win 10-12 games or upset a decent P5 (not Purdue, Vandy, etc.) then people at large take notice. Outside of that, people don't really distinguish between any of the programs in the three leagues.

That is the truth no matter how much off season chatter and chest beating there is on message boards.

The lack of space is what would make the leagues so awesome if the shuffled. A conference of teams from TX, AR, LA, MS and AL would be fantastic. Rivalries would be created and more butts would fill the seats. Likewise for VA, GA, NC, FL, TN and KY in one conference.

Tulane's historical record isn't all that great. Perhaps you should join us in your desire to push us down to FCS, apparently your school can't cut it either.

Your Record in each conference
AAC:
6-18
CUSA:
81-132 (5/18 seasons were over .500)

It's just as brutal the further you go back in your history.

Wow that would be nice to see.
Lots of regional rivalries would be able to develop. Might even sell out more games for each school involved as people would be able to travel to more of them this way.
