Wow. Now, that's a line-up. 2 of the 5 were the best/near best HS player in their class. Dejuan's intestine issue kept him from fulfilling his potential in the NBA.

I tried coming up with a decent 5, and failed miserably. We were so bad during our time in CUSA. The best two players during that time were probably Aubrey Coleman and Robert McKiver, but their games outside of pure scoring were complete and utter trash. My roommates and I called McKiver.. McHEAVEr because he would pull up and heave from anywhere on the floor, double or triple teams be damned. We would crack the hell up watching him. Not in a disrespectful way, because more often than not, he would drain the most ridiculous shots you can imagine. He was so hilariously entertaining. Get 'em, Heave.
Lanny Smith was a great PG, although he had injury problems. Oliver Lafayette was another guy that was fun to watch.
I probably can't name a front court player decent enough to mention in a "starting 5".

Yeah, that was and is a sad story. At least he got paid for being a high first round pick. I know Dajuan and Rose both played PG, but if they were both here/on the same team, DW definitely would have been a 2.
If we were to go to the Great Midwest years, easily could find five that would give that team a run for their money................

honeycutt. cusa, where nemesis are created. in it's heyday, man that was like wwf title matches. there was always one dude you f*cking hated. it was stage. villains and heroes. and the hero always won, the villain always lost. it was good
Yea I remember Huggie Bear (Cinci) with those big guys all pumped up playing physical ball. If you didn't lift weights and play good defense you were in trouble in those days.

Would Logan rank higher than Van Exel? As an opponent's fan, Nick sure seemed to be a more valuable player, but I didn't see them except when they played Memphis or on TV.
He said only CUSA years. I thought Van Exel was Great Midwest era, same as Penny?

Perfect answer. You're right. Thank you.
Otherwise, I agree, Van Exel would blow Logan off the court IMHO. Pretty easy to forget about GMC.......it lasted for so long....(Major sarcasm insert here)......... great bball conference though.

I don't agree, but regardless, if you could include NVE you'd clearly drop Burton and go Logan/NVE/Patterson/Kenyon/Fortson... Maxiell off the bench.

In the frontcourt i will go with Louis Truscott and Jahmar Thorpe.
