RE: UCF releases new football uniforms, hundreds of combinations
Here's direct link to youtube.com video.
What UCF has also said is this is just after a few months of collaboration with Phil Knight's lead...as the future should bring even more options/upgrades for future years.
While the new looks will excite current players and hopefully future recruits...I think the unique special 4-way stretch material used in all the new uniforms will help pay dividends too.
Here's a good description about the advances Nike will be doing with UCF's new uni's with their new Mach Speed Chassis:
About Mach Speed Chassis
-Four-Way Stretch Woven Fabrics – More durable, heavy-duty stretch woven fabric used in high-impact, low-stretch areas; lightweight stretch woven fabrics used in low-impact, high-stretch areas for increased mobility.
-Chainmaille 2.0 Mesh – Second generation, chainmaille mesh strategically placed to increase thermos-regulation, airflow and breathability.
-Laser Perforation – Stretch woven fabric laser perforated for ventilation without sacrificing fabric performance.
-Improved Fit and Range of Motion – Jersey armholes shifted and rotated forward; underarm mobility stretch gussets added; tailored hems and cuffs for less bulk and more comfort; new “Pro-Waist” hem and draw cord pant options.
-Nike Pro Base Layer Integration – New construction adjustments for less bulk and improved base layer integration; internal pad pockets for extra thigh and knee protection.

The new uniforms are fire. Real excited about what will come down the road.
Scott Frost from UCF's press release:
"I called Phil Knight, he’s been great to me my entire career at the University of Oregon....This is the first design, and I’m sure these uniforms we’re wearing this year will make it to next year. I don’t think they will make it much farther than that....So there’s some obvious changes and some good ones, but we haven’t really pushed the envelope yet"

Yes...believe all of these combos will be available this year...but obviously a lot more starting next year when Nike/UCF (i.e. Phil Knight and Coach Frost) have a lot more time for even more input with their Senior Designers.
I didn't expect these many options in such a short amount of time...but props to Coach Frost and Phil Knight helping Nike go the extra mile so quickly for UCF.

Damn, those are sick.
I guess you finally did away with the piss-drenched "gold" jerseys? I always said you needed to, and UCF fans always jumped on me, but it looks like Nike agreed.

I don't know which UCF fans "jumped" on you, but most of us always hated those damn things. The only ones worse were the gold on white that survived until our Fiesta Bowl year. Our school colors are black and gold but the black disappeared for years under GOL, who actually told fans our colors were gold and white.

I always assumed you kept them, because you didn't want to wear black in the Florida sun. Even though the anthracite is considered to be the alternate, I could see UCF wearing that one in a lot of the September games. Not only do I think it looks the best, but it's probably also a bit cooler than the black.

Heat was always important factor for day games, particularly early in the season, but we weren't even using black for night games. Ironically, the first time O'Leary relented and wore black, it was for a day game. Hopefully, new color and fabric technology he will strike a balance.
