MyBB Unofficial MBB Schedule Thread
Here is a little on the 2016 2K Classic we'll be participating:

http://www.bloggingthebracket.com/2015/1...utral-site

I decided to look up the 2K Classic to see more specifically what the 2015 tourney looked like.

http://www.gazellegroup.com/main/wwp/schedule-2/

So what do we see?

Four power conference teams host two teams in the opening round. The winner of the regions advance.

The losers advance to the 'sub-regional' round.

Last November, the opening round were played around Nov 13 - 15.

The sub-regionals were played Nov 20 and 21 at a single site.

The semis and finals of the tourney (winners bracket) were Nov 20 and 22 in NYC. Duke beat G'town in the finals.

So we'll play @UofM and then another P5 team (e.g., Pitt, Marquette, or SMU) and then most likely play in the sub-regionals for two more games against 2 of the 3 following teams: Howard, IUPUI, and Gardner-Webb.

No idea where the sub-regionals will be held. In 2015, they were in Rhode Island.

That will be FOUR OOC games. I assume this is an 'exempt' tourney according to the NCAA.

I ASSUME we can also add based on home and homes...

@UDM, home to Oakland, home to NE-Omaha, @No Florida and @Vermont.

That would get us to NINE OOC games already, BUT only TWO at home.

So....given the current state of athletic funding does the home schedule this year improve over last year's? I really wish (and its a big wish) that we could find a corporate sponsor to fund a EMU hoops tournament like the old EMU classic.

or as they are known in the land of Twitter: #SuperGames07-coffee3

I'll make a blind prediction that we'll have less non-D-I games because of the 4-game tourney.

Might be a season without a ton of home OOC games.
