And I DGAF about Ole Miss.
Jesus christ this place's obsession with that school.
racecar guy can go to atlanta...you can go to lawrence (or murfreesboro)...problem solved....
it's similar to Murfreesboro in size, distance to a major city, and the fact it's a college town...plus, both are ugly and boring.

Lawrence is big enough that I would argue it's not a 'college town,' but YMMV.
MTSU is a factory school and Kansas is a prestigious state school. I mean hell, it's AAU.
And those pictures are stark. Lawrence looks decent at worst in that shot.

Lawrence is a college town...and do to its location (less than 30 miles to Kansas Capital, Topeka....and 40 miles from Kansas City, MO), its also a somewhat upscale bedroom community too.
Lawrence (87,000 population) is smaller than other "famous" college towns like Athens, GA (120,000 population) and Gainesville, FL (127,000).
Its certainly not like tiny Oxford or Clemson...

The Kansas stadium in Lawrence, is the single worst Div 1 stadium I have ever visited. I went to see the Kansas/Tigers football game this past season.
It's a glorified Texas HS stadium that was built 40 years ago. It would blow your mind how antiquated it is. Imagine Miss States or Ole Miss stadium 40 years ago but worse.

I think most already knew that...it's been no secret that KU hasn't put much money into their football stadium in a long, long, long time.
Not sure what that has to do with Lawrence being a college town or not.
Everyone knows Kansas is a basketball school...as they haven't won a solo Big 12 Conf Football title in over 85 years.

At least there we got to park right by the gate. Ole Miss parking is one big cluster

Have you been to the bathrooms or concessions at Bryant-Denny for instance? There are a lot of crap 80k plus seat stadiums in this country.
That are moving from G5 to P5? Awesome! Just dont compare with current P5 schools that are not going to get kicked out of their conference regardless of how awful their stadiums are. They for the most part are grandfathered in with facilities that would be insufficient for many aspiring new P5ers.

It would seem that the most immediate need is to install a better sound system.
