Hope this thread doesn't turn into a political debate, but just wanted to remind Norfolk residents of the election tomorrow for Mayor.

I'll be voting for Bob McCabe, and I encourage others to vote for him as well. As a big ODU supporter, this can only help the university in the future.

He does shooting contests at halftimes a few games per year....he shoots at least 60%. Sign him up!

Isn't Senator Kenny Alexander an ODU alum? He's got a lot of endorsements in Richmond and from our 2 US Senators. He would be a more powerful ally for ODU. But this isn't a political thread so ....

He is. He also did such a stellar job of getting the Cox bill killed. That is reason enough to not vote for him. Alum or not.

Alexander it is. Hopefully he is a loyal Monarch who can help ODU reach greater heights.

I hope Alexander can not only raise the profile of our University, but hopefully make the city of Norfolk a better place. Good luck to him. Hopefully he's on the phone tomorrow running those connections in Richmond and Washington.

The only good thing about Bob losing is he can return to sponsoring the ODU BBQ!
