Rice Tennis coming to Tulsa?
Can someone tell me what it will take for Rice to make it to the national championships here in Tulsa? What are our chances?

Not great. It's a similar achievement to baseball getting to a Super Regional. Men's tennis is #26 in the country and the women are #41, so they're both outside odds to make the final 16, and I don't think we have anybody who will qualify for the singles or doubles non-team competitions.

E: We'll have to win a regional hosted by somebody else. The men should be a two seed and the women a three seed. Ft Worth (TCU) and College Station are the best odds for the men to visit; the closest place the women could get sent to is Stillwater (shame LSU just missed by finishing 17). Selections are officially announced Tuesday afternoon at 4:00.

Well it won't be the first time I've prayed for a Rice miracle. After all, I was at Rice from 77-81. I think the '77 or '78 football teams still holds some Rice records... things like most yards allowed, most interceptions, etc.
