If we are all vegetarians, what will the animals eat? And how will we control the animal population? Too many critters and disease occurs.

No surprise, but I don't think it is the diet that makes them unhealthy. I think being unhealthy drives them to the diet. In my experience, most vegetarians make a point to make an issue out of it as if to say look at me. They are lonely people using the diet for attention. And before you accuse me of painting with a broad brush, I know this isn't always the case. My boss, for instance, had a heart attack. Other than Turkey on Thanksgiving, he is now a vegetarian. Doctors orders.

His doctor is an idiot then. If this were the case then all cardiologists would be vegetarians.

He didn't recommend it for everyone, but he was about 80 pounds overweight, almost dropped dead, and also found out he is diabetic.

Then probably and diet other than the one he was on would have worked. I would have recommended a Mediterranean diet myself

LOL

The vegans I have known have been some of the most miserable people I have ever met.

It's because they don't eat bacon

Back in the early 90s I took an elective philosphy course. There was a lab with the course which was led by a Graduate Assistant. She hit all the check marks--- she was an avowed man-hater, a lesbian, an atheist, a socialist, a vegan and god knows what else.

I remember one day we had a discussion on the morality of veganism when even she admitted that the greatest smell on earth was that smell of crisp bacon hot off the grill.

From what I've read, it appears the Mediterranean diet is the way to go. No way I could do the vegan thing.

That's funny, coming from you.

My sister's vegan. You'd like her. Most folks do. She had scholarship to Clemson, back in day was one of handful of female high school grads going into engineering and got all kinds of academic accolades (Governor's Honors Program, that kinda thing). She's got a wandering spirit, though. Dropped out to become a river guide, then a skier out in Colorado, etc. She's also a first-rate chef.
Her lasagna is better than most.

My wife makes vegetable lasagna that I'd probably pick over most filet mignons.

Don't know if anyone hates vegans. Just laugh at them for their foolishness, wish them health regardless of their bad choice, and want them to stay out of our kitchens.

Everyone makes bad choices when it comes to food. There isn't a person on this planet that eats right 100% of the time.

Why should Vegans be any different?

Because they* eat wrong most every time they masticate and treat their diet like the one true religion.

I've never experienced that before. I work with one and the only way I found out was because she once asked what was in the burritos that were being handed out.

Yeah I caught that. I'm assuming however that you mean more times than not.

I have met a few over the years and not one of them has ever been judgmental or miserable or anything other than nice and friendly.

So 100% of my experience with Vegans has been positive.
