About the same respect he was given today in the draft...The man deserves his own thread..Doughty is a Miami Dolphin being picked in 7th round, he grew up 15 miles form Dolphins HQ....Seeing some of the QB's drafted ahead of him was a joke, but I hope he gets the chance to prove himself....I like the situation he is in, Tannehill is a joke, so BD can make his mark sooner then later...

I'm just glad that he is gone because he lit us up in the last couple of years. Hope he makes the Dolphins squad. He had a great college career even if he played for about 10 years before his eligibility expired.

Just now on here seeing no respect for BD, haha.....I think he will make the Dolphins, not sure who else they have at backup, but BD is very capable....

Very happy for him and hope he makes the best of his situation at hand.

Tannehill is less than a year into a $100mil contract. I don't think he's going anywhere. Matt Moore is the backup. Doughty will likely battle Logan Thomas for a practice squad spot.

Good thing about playing in the NFL is most of your games are at lunch or early afternoon. Plenty of time for Doughty to make it to the 4 PM Golden Coral buffet down in South Florida.

I sure hope he can beat out a TE at QB. Thomas was nothing more than Frank Beamer trying to create the next Cam Newton. I think Doughty will have a shot, but you never know

Doughty will likely land on the roster unless he stinks it up. The team wouldn't want to waste a quarterback draft pick, even 7th round to have him potentially plucked from the practice squad. However, he will have a tough road beating out Moore for the backup spot. And Tannehill has not been bad throwing for over 8200 yards with 51 TD's and 24 INT's the last two seasons. All of this while having the worst offensive line in the NFL over the same time frame. Doughty has an uphill battle over the long-term unless he absolutely shines.
