But he still wants to take your guns away from you. His paid goons can have firearms to protect his special life but he's against your right to protect yours.

Nanny Bloomberg wants your guns, your salt shakers, and your 44 oz. Big Gulp. He ain't that different from what he is criticizing.

Bloomberg is perplexing. On one hand he says a couple of good things like this, his assertion that Chick-fil-a has the right to operate in NYC in spite of their beliefs on gay marriage, and a few other positives. On the other, he had the soda scheme, the new Yankee Stadium debacle, and maintains a desire to regulate you to the point of extinction. I'm inclined to think the latter is more true to his real nature, but he's not without some sensible opinions.

Most people aren't purely conservative or liberal. It is perfectly fine to have a mixture of liberal and conservative ideology.
My dad for example is very much conservative (never voted for a democrat in his life as far as he's told me). He's been a gun owner his entire life and is pro-gun, but thinks it is entirely reasonable for universal background checks, waiting periods, stiff penalties for irresponsible gun ownership, and high powered rifles made illegal. Gun nuts would label him a liberal despite him being a stereotypical conservative in pretty much every other way.

He thinks what he thinks. His positions are all individual ego-based opinions. They are not part of some larger philosophical framework.
Guns cause bad stuff, they must go. Coca-Cola causes bad stuff, it must go. Liberty, freedom, socialism, democracy, communism, etc. don't play any part in his thinking.
He would have made a great benevolent despot in Rome.

Would like to know your father's view on the PLCAA act of 2005 and HRC's goal to overturn it. Also, his stance on the NRA. What is an example of a high powered rifle? What are the penalties for irresponsible gun owners? Swimming pool kill
More children than firearms, what's his stance on that?
Just because he has been a gun owner doesn't mean he understands the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.
