Cougar football season ticket renewal deadline today
The AD announced we have sold 18,193 season tickets by the renewal deadline. This is likely a school record. If not, it's the most we've sold in nearly 40 years.

Last year, we sold 14,650.

More than four months remain until kickoff, and less than 11,000 season tickets are available for purchase**. Most all of them are in the 300 level upper decks.

We should sell in excess of 20K. Hopefully 22K+

**Capacity is 40K but well over 10K tickets are reserved for students, visiting fans, corporate sponsors, recruits & their families, players' families, coaches' families, etc.

How many does ECU sell in a given season? I hope we surpass ECU.

Not bad considering all the oil and gas layoffs.

21-24k. Although if we had just won a BCS bowl it would probably be 30-35.

Goal is always to fill half the stadium with season tix -- we'd be in budget trouble if we sales went below 20.

The success us Coog fans have witness over these few short years here has been phenomenal... And now that we finally have a new football stadium should only make future moves that much sweeter.

Go Coogs 04-rock

It will be great to have a consistently packed stadium.

I could not find anything for 2015 where ECU's attendance was their lowest since 2009.

This press release suggests that ECU sold between 20K to 24K from 2007 to 2014.

Likewise, Boise sold between 21-24K season tickets from 2007-14.

Fresno St sold between 18.5K and 25K from 2011-15.

TCU's max in the MWC was 22,500 but they had a Big East invite at the time (back when the Big East had WV, Louisville, Pitt, Syracuse & Rutgers).

Utah sold 16K and 19.5K for Urban Meyer's teams in 2003-04, quickly grew it to 25K by 2007 and then 31K by 2010 before the Pac 12 offered.

Our group grew from 33 (which included 5 open seats to encourage people to come to games) to 44 this season and every ticket being accounted for before the season.

RE: Cougar football season ticket renewal deadline today
"Outsider school" season ticket sales after their first BCS/NY6 Bowl appearance:

Utah - 2005 - 21,540*
Boise - 2007 - 20,904*
Hawaii - 2008 - 27,200
TCU - 2010 - 19,500
Northern Ill - 2013 - 4,243
UCF - 2014 - 16,049
Houston - 2016 - ???*

* - Utah and Boise broke 20K for the first time in school history the season after their first BCS bowl. Houston is on track to do the same.

Note: Cincy and UConn weren't "outsider schools" at the time they made BCS bowls. And I couldn't find season ticket numbers for them anyway.
