As a Titan and Middle fan I could not be more excited. Titans are killing this draft IMO.

Haven't been this happy about the Titans since we went to the Super Bowl. LOVE THIS PICK. Byard is a solid pick and I think he is at least the second highest pick we have ever had. Believe I'll hang on to those season tickets at Nissan Stadium.02-13-banana

I don't get drafting Derrick Henry when he is the same type of runner as Murray. Not a change of pace except he can't break tackles haha. I liked the other picks we needed a safety so hopefully the mtsu guy can play great. He doesn't have much to live up to. Not like griffin ever did much for us.

RE: MT's Kevin Byard a Titan
I did a little research to put it into perspective about how good of a pick KB is. Terrell Buckley had 21 picks in college, Byard had 19. Both had the same amount of pick 6's and were one shy of the NCAA record. Deion Sanders only had 14 picks and 3 pick 6's. Wow! KB didn't have the help that Primetime had. KB was often on an island by himself because the rest of the D were too busy watching him do all of the work. If we had 4 KB's back there, life as a Blue Raider fan would have been much different. In 2012 and 2013, we had a much better supporting cast around him and he shined because of it. I think he will be a great Titan because of this.

Derelle Revis had 8 INTs and Richard Sherman only had 6 (but only played 2 years at DB) KB did more in one year than Sherman did in his last 2 years.

It's such a strong pick that it's almost hard for me to believe that the Titans are actually making such good choices. KB's work ethic is off the charts. Very happy for him and the Titans.

After the Calico debacle, hopefully KB will make us proud.

I never thought Calico was as bad of a pro receiver as the Nash media made him out to be, however. Drew Bennett could get away with all sorts of dropped passes and they'd never say a word.

Calico was severely injured by a Dallas DB with a Horsecollar and that is what really ended his career. All you have to do is compare the performance of Joey Kent (UT alum) with Ty Calico to know that the Nashville Media found it far more comfortable to malign Calico that to address the truth as to why he did not succeed. UT players are sacred to the Local media. More Current Example: Justin Hunter who has done virtually nothing and is about to enter his 4th year as WR for the Titans. If Justin Hunter was a WKU, MT, La Tech, etc. guy; he would have been cut after year 3 at the latest!

Calico didn't work that hard in the gym or film room from what Fisher said. Byard lives in the gym and in the film room.

McCollum wasn't exactly a master of discipline.

2 completely different types of athlete from 2 completely different types of programs.

NOt sure about the TItans draft but time will tell....THis guy has to be better then Brehdi-Wilson right now so that's a plus...I don't really get the Henry pick either.....My boy Antonio Andrews might be cut sooner then later...WIsh Sankey was cut, but can see hanging onto him longer then Andrews....

Calico, now that is a name in the past...I go to at least 1 Titans game a year and I chuckle every time when I see someone wearing a Calico jersey...So far I always see at least 1 or 2 per game I attend...

I'd keep Andrews and dump Sankey in a New York minute. Andrews (like Byard) is a 100% Effort guy. Sankey (unfortunately like Calico) tries to get by on natural ability.

Agreed. I'd like to keep Andrews over Sankey. I'm so happy for Kevin Byard and the Southern Miss player drafted to the Titans. I'm hoping Byard becomes a superstar or at least good enough to have his jersey in the stores.
