We play providence in our preseason tournament and if we win play winner of Virginia Iowa. Iowa Providence Memphis and Virginia that's a 7 seed and 8 seed and a 1 seed from last year's tournament.

Pastner coaches a team in the ACC.
Austin will play in the ACC next season.
You can figure out the rest :)

Austin left the Tigers AND Pastner at the same time. Pastner is no longer at Memphis but Austin will play against him in the ACC. There is also a chance Austin will play against the Tigers too.

I know this happens and is one reason players transferring usually cannot go to a team in their conference or teams on their upcoming schedule. Austin could face both his old team and old coach (who are separate entities now) in the first season he returns to play.

In other words it happens but not often and is kinda ironic when you think about it.
