DD S1 and JJ S 1 were great. DD S2 > LC S1 >>IF S1.

I really think they can make The Defenders work well but I hope each characters' individual next season, along with The Punisher, start a upward trajectory.

I mostly agree with your rankings, although I would put JJ S1 a little closer to DD S2. DD S1 is my favorite, by a decent margin. I think I liked IF S1 more than most, up until the last third of the finale, which kind of soured a lot of my support for the show up to that point. Very frustrating.

Are the The Punisher and The Defenders going to be integrated?

JJs backstory and main villain Killgrave with his dealings amongst the main characters was just too interesting than what evolved in DD S2.

IF was OK but, the entire show he's bragging about being the IF yet he can't summon his powers all the time got really old really fast... and they never got into outright saying he couldn't summon it because his chi was broken or whatever reasoning they had to do it that way. I did kind of get into how they were putting The Hand out there for public consumption in terms of their deal and how they had appeared in DD. I can't recall if The Hand pupped up in JJ or LC off the top of my head.

To my recollection, TD will be its own deal with the 4 dealing with The Hand specifically. TP will be its own deal and I can't recall any articles I have read that DD, LC, IF, or JJ will appear in the series--even in cameo form.

Sometimes that last cocktail is a bad idea.

Does anyone know why they decided to call this group Defenders as opposed to Marvel Knights?

When I found out what Tahiti really was, I was floored.

I just got to the point in S2 where they drop the Kree thing. Is that what you meant?

I read this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kree

Seemed like S2 of this show is a little early possibly hitting up the underground entrance to the Inhumans area of Earth. Also, when they got into Kree/Inhumans in a recent Spiderman animated series I didn't recall them getting into Kree/human experimentation.... although I could have just overlooked it.

That said, I am digging the show so far.....

I really like how bad ass this Ward kid is...

I was talking about the S1 reveal where - SPOILERS!

Coulson was the man behind Project T.A.H.I.T.I.

Sounds good...

1, Iron Fist needed a new showrunner.

2, Don't know how I feel about CM being in the 90's.

The only justification I can come up with is that it won't complicate to timeline. But then, how do they justify not bringing her in on the Avengers Initiative? Maybe by the end of the movie she's in outer space.

Also, have they dicked around with the CM production that Katee Sackhoff has basically aged out of the role?

Yeah, She's out. Bree Lawson has already taken the role. You may be right. She could very well be in outer space already, and if so. Could she hitch a ride with the Guardians of the Galaxy back to earth?

I have a question... after watching AoS and the XMen stuff.... and since they are both Marvel "universes" so to speak...

What is the deal on crossovers?

Kree/Inhumans as portrayed in AoS gives me a distinct alternate take vibe on the Mutant X gene from the XMen movies.

The Sokovia Accords from Ultron / Civil War / AoS as portrayed feel a lot like the Mutant Registration Act.

So the first thing you have to do is keep the MCU (includes TV) separate from the comics and that the live action universe is influencing the comics. The main issue is that Disney won't develop the X-men (and mutants) because those right were sold off to FOX in the 90's.

Because of this, Disney is pushing Inhumans as the stand in for mutants and wanted to reduce the profile of the X-men in the comics. In fact, speculation was that the recent completed storyline in the comics was going to give the X-Men a similar send off as the Fantastic Four and cancel all of the X-men books. The rumors generated such a backlash that I think it caused Marvel to reserve course. But it still holds true for the MCU because Disney isn't splitting a dime with FOX.

So the similarity you feel with the Inhumans in AoS is by design. Both the Terrigen Mist and the X-Gene were comically created around the same time, but mutants were simply better received by fans.

(Coincidentally, people who complain about Marvel's lack of diversity fail to realize that the House of Ideas created mutants to address this very issue. They simply don't have licence to use those characters in film)

The Sokovia Accords were meant to emulate the Superhero Registration Act from the comic version of the Civil War arc. The MCU can't have a the mutant version of that.
