DC TV with Arrow, Flash, Gotham, and Supergirl have been on par quality wise with the Marvel shows of Jessica Jones and Daredevil IMO. Yes the DC shows are a little more comedic than their Marvel ones sans Arrow (at least the ones I have seen...which I haven't watched Shield).

I do think the Justice League/Young Justice shows are on par with anything by Marvel as far as animated stuff goes right now.

You and I have disagreed on TV/Movies before but this still caught me off guard. "On par quality wise"? I think the DC shows are certainly fun but the acting/dialog have been only a notch better than daytime soaps. And production quality isn't in the same ballpark. Give me one fight scene from Arrow that was even close to as realistic or as well filmed and choreographed as Daredevil.

Totally agree. I'm sure the budget for the Marvel Netflix shows is higher, but in terms of quality they're far better than Arrow, Flash, Gotham, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.

Legends of Tomorrow - ugh. I really wanted to like that show but it just comes off cheap. I watched the whole season because I started it but I won't watch season 2 unless/until I hear it's MUCH improved.

I haven't watched any of Shield or Legends of Tomorrow.

The two Marvel shows of Daredevil and Jessica Jones are darker in tone than say Arrow/Flash/Supergirl/Gotham but acting, story line plot, and material coverage have been on par.

Huh - ok. I think it's safe to say that you and I are looking for different things from our TV and movie watching experiences. Or we define 'on par' very differently.

DC and Marvel have arguably gone different routes in presenting their material. But I haven't seen any huge lack of good story lines or presentation of characters. Very few fluff episodes.

About the only super nitpicky thing in any of the shows that really kind of bugged me was in Arrow when you keep getting the trust me/tell me the truth from people hiding their own issues.

Another thing about any of these shows, as far as my own experience, is that I am basically taking their story telling angles for the stories of the characters--in other words I am not up on all of their comic book lore/canon so I don't have any pre-conceived notions of how story elements are revealed to me.
