Maybe I'm wrong, but games shown on NBC are a little less than a full-blown TV network....

Maybe Swofford is pushing hard for ND to join full time for a network? maybe Swofford and ESPN are pushing the Irish???

Maybe the B1G is looking at trying to add such a huge chunk of ACC teams that it would force ND to possibly join (North Carolina-Duke-Virginia-GIT-FSU??

Who knows, but scenarios DO exist where Notre Dame is a lynch-pin...

Maybe it is ND is putting pressure on the ACC and ESPN to finalize a network? Signing a hockey deal with the Big Ten and making noise about leaving the ACC? Who knows???

The NBC games since 1991 are the type of OTA deal that ND has enjoyed for 25 years that all of a sudden is now is "good business" and "genius" since Delany is recently pushing the Big Ten towards more OTA exposure.

.@DanWolken Schools in the AAC had better understand how good they've got it. West Virginia was a reach, and Memphis, UCONN, Cinn. are too.

ND has to protect their branding very carefully. While they will always be "a name" in CFB, it's their independence in football that makes them "the name" when it comes to legendary programs who are unique. In basketball (and other Olympic sports), they are happy to be another name in the group. But not football.

I just don't know how much it's worth to them. I don't know if there's a realistic dollar amount that would get them to bite on a conference.

if they went to ACC, they'd get a bigger payday...but they'd be the ones who would instigate that bump for the ACC. The ACC with ND might surpass the SEC's TV money...but--of course--the Big Ten with ND would nuclear warhead annihilate even the SEC for the next half century. And the Big Ten with ND as #15 could get a big BIG fish for team 16...which means even more money in 2025 or whatever.
