Wonder why FAU pulled their starter to begin the 6th? He had a shutout going. Cost them the lead that's for sure.

FAU's comeback falls short and they lose 4-3. USM owns the tiebreaker.

116 pitch complete game 6-2 win for the Aggies over Arkansas. Hogs were in Omaha last year and may not make the tourney this year.

You're making far too big of a deal out of the tie-breaker.

UH waits out a 5 1/2 hour rain delay in Tulane and it's still raining in New Orleans. They just cancelled the game with no make-up date. And now UH has to drive home through a state that has had 10 inches of rain today. Yikes.

And, in CUSA, UTSA upsets LaTech, 5-4 in 11 innings.

RE: the tiebreaker.

The tiebreaker is for the seeding in the tournament. It provides a choice between co-champions for seeding only. In any case, the 1 and 2 seed are expected to see each other in the finals, and it doesn't matter much which number is on which team. They are both on the same field at the same time.

Let's just win the CC, or at least tie for it, and the seeding will not matter.

Tie for the CC, win the tourney, again it doesn't matter.

I just want us to win the last game we play this season.

(And no Twilight Zone qualifiers like an alien invasion happening in late May or some such.)

Wasn't trying to make a lot big deal of it, just responding to the post that implied that USM owned the tiebreaker over FAU.

I was wondering about that too but it looks like he never goes more than 5 or 6 innings, no matter how well he is throwing.

FAU is tough. I don't think the result would have been any different in Hattiesburg. Two very decisive wins for them and then, probably, your typical Sunday letdown from a team that takes the first two. I think they have the best offense in the conference and definitely the second-best pitching staff. They certainly were able to expose our average starting pitching to get deep into our below-average bullpen.

Interested to see how your series with them goes.

We are going to sweep them. Just like last year.
