NCAA Overturns Ban on Satellite Camps
Quote:The NCAA Board of Directors has overturned the ban on holding camps away from school, commonly called satellite camps.

In a statement, the board stressed that it wants the Division I Council, which enacted the ban earlier this month, to conduct a thorough review of the entire FBS recruiting process.

It appears to me they should routinely be reviewing the recruiting process.

Literally had a parent of a kid contact me within minutes of the announcement. Forwarded him to the UAB football page. Clark and Co were sitting on go and had the dates up already

RE: NCAA Overturns Ban on Satellite Camps
I'm glad, but you definitely have to question the process. I get that the SEC was throwing some of its clot around, but NCAA should have never let it go down like this. I'm one of those guys that doesn't really get all the finer details of recruiting, and even I knew the value of satellite camps.

A review of the camps is warranted. There's no surprise that some shady stuff goes down, but you can't completely deny kids an opportunity like that on account of some power programs feeling their talent could get poached. Another thing that was kind of loopy to me was some representatives voting against the majority opinion of their respective conferences. I saw the rationale of the PAC-12 guy, but I'm still in the dark about some of the others.

Just to through out a few places in my opionion that we (UAB) should look and I say we with some salt. Cause I think their still my team probally for a long time (Chuck any way). Valdasta Ga, Lagrange Ga, Niceville Fl., Panama City ofcourse. Chiply and Graceville Fl. Jasper Al right out side of Tuscaloosa opps cant spell that word. Montgomery too for you just cause they hold the seats of the choice. Lets See. Opelika and Phoenix city used to be a power when at the View thats in Dothan. Get some players the rattlers of Hasse Tally Tallahsse and we probally can be gooder than before. Oh yea their some schools that don't have any body from their State on the roster like Colorado their all from California. where do they go, same thing like Cuse their all from Georgia. Know Days. Just a thought of an opionion. Like wise ready for the slap. knot to Hard please.

Anyone talked to GN lately?

Having one in Prattville might be beneficial.
