Should the Hornets relocate?
The topic has sort of been brushed upon by the NBA commissioner. If North Carolina does not repeal this horrible anti-LGBT law, would or should the Charlotte Hornets relocate to another city? Micheal Jordan has already come out against the law and it looks like the all-star game will be moved as well. I think it would send a firm message to the bigots in North Carolina and that message is we will not hate nor discriminate against any member of this society. After the Hornets leave, it will only be a matter of time before The Carolina Panthers follow as well. I think this is a more realistic scenario then people realize. I would think the LGBT community would go after whatever Mississippi has next but they really do not have anything of value to take away.

It is obvious that this is a parody account. I don't know why people take it seriously.

I'll believe that the NBA is serious when they actually move the All Star game.

The NCAA looks like they are getting serious with North Carolina.

How so?

Houston passed their bill last year and the NCAA still held the Final Four there. It's totally a non-issue that will disappear completely once the general election heats up. The NC legislature will likely amend the bill to satisfy the Govs executive order about suing in state court and the issue will be over.

The NCAA is not going do anything that will hurt that ACC, UNC, and Duke in basketball.

Time to go international (I don't consider Toronto truly international).

How about Sidney or Johannesburg.

We shall see about that.

lol, the hornets already moved once. MJ is a legend in NC, moving again is laughable unless HE wants to move which I don't see happening.

You mean the taxpayers will be punished by no longer having to subsidize the Hornets' place of business? Cool

Actually, there are a lot LGBT persons in North Carolina, all of whom potentially face abuse as a result of this bill.

Now, I can be refused a hotel room or a restaurant meal in Charlotte, simply because I am Gay.

I think this is an honest discussion of the repercussions to an alarmingly hateful law that North Carolina passed. If you read some of the NBA commissioner's comments, he has not ruled it out. But don't worry, Kaplony will neg rep me 50 times here in just a few minutes like he always does.

Where was your outrage last year when Charlotte voted down the very same ordinance that started all this sh:t?

You're good, and very consistent. I'll give you that. 04-cheers It has got to be exhausting, but don't think your comedy has gone unnoticed.

I think your definition of 'abuse' varies greatly from the traditional definition of abuse.

Except you haven't been refused a hotel room or a restaurant meal, ever, just because you are gay.
